King Tiger Model

The King Tiger, officially designated the Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B, was a German heavy tank of World War II. It is also known by its informal name, the Tiger II. The King Tiger combined the thick armor of its predecessor, the Tiger I, with the sloped armor used on the Panther medium tank.

The tank weighed almost 70 tonnes, and was protected by 100 to 185 mm of armor to the front. It was armed with a powerful 88 mm gun capable of defeating any Allied tank. Despite its formidable capabilities, the King Tiger suffered from mechanical failures and was expensive to produce. Only 492 units were built.

The King Tiger has been a popular subject among military model enthusiasts. Models of the King Tiger are available in various scales, including 1/35, 1/48, and 1/72. These models often come with detailed instructions and historical information, making them a favorite project for history buffs and modelers alike.
